The Men’s Cree group at Greenfield Arts are busy preparing to share creative boxes with the community that will inspire hope and inspiration. Although the Arts Centre facility is closed at present, the group are keeping in touch and have just received a creative pack through their letterbox with materials to start making and creating.
The group are putting together a selection items and are even testing their origami skills in a bid to share kindness and inspiration with others. Greenfield Arts are looking forward to a time in the near future when they can meet face-to-face.
There is a full programme of activity for the spring and summer planned for the Cree group which includes working alongside artists and practitioners to capture everyday moments and imagine new futures. Professional photographer Elaine Vizor will be supporting and inspiring the group to capture moments through photography and artist Dawn Belshaw will be sharing her recycling artistry to suggest ways to use everyday objects to get creative.
The summer will also bring the chance to get lyrical as songwriter and musician John Melvin teases out some happy moments to bring together in song. An exciting opportunity - we are looking forward to be able to share the final song with the Cree group and the wider community.
