On Friday 28th September, we were proud to play our part in supporting Macmillan Cancer Support and hosted a World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. Lots of delicious cakes were made by Miss Curran’s year 8 class; while Mrs Best’s COPE students served drinks and cakes to the general public and staff. Students gained a great deal from this experience, such as customer service skills, understanding basic hygiene in a food environment and were polite, professional and pro-active – a real credit to Greenfield! Students were also very successful in selling many raffle tickets around the school; the raffle winners were announced last week and I hope everyone has claimed their prizes! Overall, over £130 was raised which is an amazing amount in an hour and a half! Thank you to everyone who was involved, baked, served and sold tickets. Well done everyone!
