Along with the rest of the country Greenfield has marked the run up to the special Jubilee Celebrations this weekend with a number of events.
Whilst maintaining a focus on hard work throughout the week, every opportunity has been taken to recognise the significance of Her Majesty’s reign. Each day has begun with an assembly exploring achievement and what can be learned from a lifetime of dedication. Even maths lessons have managed to explore lines of symmetry using our national flag and the royal crown!
Greenfield break and dinner time staff have gone the extra mile and presented students with “Great British” menus each day, served under cheerful swathes of royal bunting.
To finish the week a non-uniform day brought out the school’s determination to show its enthusiasm for the country wide celebrations. Everyone dressed in red, white and blue and felt proud, not only to be a part of this historic event, but also to raise money for the World Challenge.
Finally, to end it all, what could be better than a good British Cuppa’, served of course, in one of the celebration mugs generously given to all Year 7 students by Great Aycliffe & Middridge Partnership.
A great end to what has been a great half term of hard work and achievement.
